EcoQuip’s® machines are versatile and gentle enough to clean wood, sandstone or limestone, often the building materials used in historic structures. EcoQuip® has the ability to leave a smooth profile on these historic structures, and after a quick adjustment, able to remove high-solid paint off of steel, leaving the industry’s standard 2.5 mil profile.

Industrial Restoration Marine Graffiti Cleaning

  • Removing industrial coatings for inspections
  • Preparing surfaces to recoat
  • Cleaning storage tanks
  • Removing rust and scale
  • Removing roadway markings
  • Offshore corrosion control
  • Exposing Welds
  • Traditional restoration methods damage the hard surface of fired brick and open the bricks up to water damage, efflorescence (white powdery substance seen on brick), discoloration or mottling that is permanent. They also can cause warping, impingement, pitting, as well as discoloration and damage on metal surfaces. Other methods can also be more time consuming, and not as effective or efficient.

Complete coatings removal, corrosion control, and facilities maintenance.

EcoQuip excels in lowering costs for both preventive maintenance and repair. Complex industrial infrastructure such as piping, valves, and intricate mechanical/hydraulic machinery can be cleaned quickly and inspected frequently without disassembly or masking.

EcoQuip can remove tough industrial coatings and corrosion without damaging hosing, couplings, and delicate surfaces. This one-step cleaning and surface preparation saves hours of labor in otherwise tedious and difficult maintenance chores.

With ultra-low dispersal characteristics, EQ systems eliminate 95 percent of airborne particles and can be used in enclosed spaces without affecting nearby equipment or workers. EcoQuip machines will produce thousands of hours of reliable, effective, problem free, dustless grit blasting.

  • Brick/Block/Stone or Stucco buildings
  • Wood Siding/Fences
  • Wrought iron fencing
  • Decorative metals, brass, bronze, and tin
  • Monuments
  • Statues
  • Grave or head stones
  • Artifacts and historic pieces
  • Traditional industrial methods require containment screening, dust collectors, truck loads of abrasive, and some sort of breathing apparatus. UHP–Ultra High Pressure uses a lot of water causing run off and 30,000 psi causes multiple safety hazards for operators. Other methods also leave no profile which is needed for paint adhesion and can cause warping, impingement, pitting, as well as discoloration and damage on metal surfaces. Usually typical blast systems can not be used in open air areas around other workers or in enclosed areas.

  • EcoQuip has the unique ability to clean old or new brick, block, and/or stone without opening up or causing damage to the face causing negative efflorescence, and zero discoloration or mottling. We can also restore wood structures without damaging the wood or raising the grains.
  • EcoQuip has the ability to remove coatings, rust, clean and polish old wrought iron, surface metals, statues, graves and head stones without causing damage or effecting the integrity of the surface.
  • EcoQuip has the ability to remove mold, grime, surface dirt and corrosion gently without damage, while restoring and protecting the character of artifacts.
  • All applications can be accomplished without causing any damage to the landscape or vegetation, as well as the surrounding surfaces.

  • Highway signs
  • Concrete
  • Sandstone
  • • Boat Bottoms

Traditional marine applications such as sandblasting, soda blasting, chemical stripping and high pressure methods damage the gel-coat, create thin inconsistent areas leaving a profile paint can't adhere to. These traditional methods make vessels vulnerable to future damage.

    • Running Gear

Previous applications used on running gear damaged the metal by causing pitting. In the past, props needed to be removed, grinded and re-calibrated for proper harmonics.

    • Boat Bottoms

EcoQuip has the unique ability to remove and clean vessels without damage to the protective gel-coating over the fiberglass. Utilizing advanced technology, EQ is able to leave a perfect 80 grit finish, which Interlux says is the ideal anchor pattern for paint adhesion and no wet sanding or tenting is necessary. These systems are more time efficient, safer for the operators and there is less cleanup compared to other methods.  EQ systems are able to expose welds for inspection and maintenance of steel and aluminum hulls.

EcoQuip has the ability in a matter of minutes to remove old varnish, clean and brighten teak to almost an original color and look without damage to the expensive wood.

    • Running Gear

The multiple steps required in the past are now obsolete.  EQ has the unique ability to remove and clean running gear with years of growth and barnacle buildup in a matter of minutes compared to the hours of grinding needed to accomplish the same job with other systems. EcoQuip technology allows props, rudders and trim tabs to be restored to the original integrity without being removed from the vessel. EQ systems prepare surfaces for coatings such as Prop-Speed.

  • Problem Traditional graffiti removal methods like chemicals and soda-blasting are not safe for the environment, killing surrounding vegetation. Pressure washing, chemical stripping, soda blasting, and sandblasting can destroy brick and remove mortar from walls. These methods also have poor production rates. This coupled with the damage to the sub-surface make these methods ineffective.

EcoQuip systems were built with a wide range of pressures to be utilized on gentler surfaces like brick, so paint can be stripped while protecting the sub-surface. EQ systems can also remove paint layer by layer, so you can remove graffiti effectively even from painted surfaces like metal or wood signs.

Traditional high pressure blasting methods damage delicate surfaces, create dust clouds unhealthy for operators and bystanders, involve hours of containment and cleanup. Low pressure blasting methods don't have the power to remove many surface coatings and have lower production rates.

EcoQuip systems utilize advanced technology to bring the blasting industry the first system that can be used at pressures as low as 30psi for delicate surfaces like sandstone and limestone or as high as 125psi for stubborn surface coatings. Using a mixture of airflow, water and your choice of media, EQ systems meet industry standards, involve little to no containment or cleanup and reduce 90 percent of airborne particles.

EQ systems have been used to remove splatters of bitumen, asphalt, concrete, paint and stucco off of materials such as brick, roadways, and concrete as well as for cleaning the equipment used for applying these materials. While it is successful at cleaning these harsh materials it is also well suited for cleaning mold, fungus, marine growth, leaching from the soil, and rust. It is the perfect tool for preparing surfaces for being painted or sealed, whether they need to just be cleaned or profiled for best adhesion. EcoQuip systems can also be used to restore antiques and clean teak furniture!
